The first transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ DIGITRONICS project took place remotely (ZOOM sessions) on Monday and Tuesday, 13-14 December 2021. The 5 project partners from France (MEDEF AURA-IPRA), Italy (SFC CONFINDUSTRIA and CIS FORMAZIONE), Poland (MCDN) and Spain (IPM), met to discuss the working methodology, the internal organization, and the final objectives of the project.

The expertise and previous experience of European partners will be beneficial to the DIGITRONICS project, which aims at developing innovative training for mechatronics instructors.

DIGITRONICS is an ERASMUS+ project, co-funded by the European Commission, anchored in a European and regional strategy aimed towards innovation and a digital transformation of the industry, in search of intelligent specializations and a shift towards Industry 4.0. This concerns several fields of activity, among others: intelligent and efficient systems, digital technologies, and benevolent systems, to which mechatronics belongs, a complex and fast-growing field.

After having developed, within the consortium of partners, the profile of professional competences required of trainers within the mechatronics disciplines, partners will elaborate a guide of good practices to help trainers across Europe to elaborate agile and innovative trainings compatible with today’s expectations of mechatronics companies. Finally, partners will develop training modules to accompany the evolution of specific skills of trainers. For all the stakeholders of the mechatronics environment, the DIGITRONICS project will open new opportunities to “get out of the daily routine” and to give themselves interesting perspectives, both from a professional point of view (work on themes related to their activity, business development) and from a personal point of view (meeting with European partners of a different culture and know-how).

The project has already begun in early November 2021 and the DIGITRONICS partners are embarking on a project that will end in two years, in November 2023. DIGITRONICS partners invite all institutions, experts and industry representatives interested in the development of vocational training in mechatronics to actively participate in the project.
