DIGITRONICS Third Transnational Conference Krakow 9/10 June 2022

Małopolska Teacher Training Center hosted DIGITRONICS consortium partners in Krakow, Poland 9-10 June 2022. The main goal of the project, coordinated by the Regional Association of Employers IPRA MEDEF from Lyon, is to define ideal mechatronics teacher competences and elaborate training materials for mechatronics teachers that will improve skills of mechatronics professionals in the future. The focus of this international partner meeting was to make progress on these goals and set the action plan for the next several months of the project, especially:

  • Defining the competence framework;
  • Using this framework to create a trainer’s guide.

Focusing on these objectives, partners discussed a very important task: linking the competence framework with the guide for mechatronics teachers, which will include a detailed description of several technical and transversal competences.

Partners also discussed the technical aspects of developing online courses for mechatronics teachers. The content of the e-learning modules will not be limited only to the collection of learning materials and resources, but will also be enriched with video files and graphics that can be used by teachers as teaching aids.

The meeting was a key moment as well as a stepping stone to the rest of the main project results and training materials that will be developed by the DIGITRONICS project partners over the next year. The next major steps of the project will include developing the training guide and consulting with specialists in the mechatronics field on the guide’s contents. These steps will be discussed during the next international project meeting, which is already planned for December in Italy.
